From big agency experience…

I have 20+ years experience at London’s leading brand design and packaging agencies, including Lippa Pearce (now part of Pentagram) and Pearlfisher.

This meant I spent my days working on global brands and blue chip companies such as Coca Cola, Cadbury, Havana Club, Jameson, Wagamama, Unilever, Mondelēz, Pernod Ricard, Irish Distillers and The Edrington Group.

I also worked alongside future thinking entrepreneurs and marketeers, helping them build and create successful challenger brands such as Green & Black’s, Nude Skincare, Maldon Salt, The Spice Tailor, Watergate Bay Hotel, and
Another Place hotel.

My passion for colour and its effective use in branding led to my clients and colleagues calling me ‘The Queen of Colour’. Colour always features strongly
in my design work because I believe it can be one of the most powerful visual
assets – if you get it right!

One of my biggest success stories was the original iconic redesign of Green & Black’s, where I was the lead designer responsible for the rebranding that was part of a step-change in its journey from niche organic chocolate producer to multinational ownership. This transformation resulted in an astronomical increase in sales (+789% sales over
4 years), and the rebrand’s contribution was recognised with a DBA Design Effectiveness Award.

Not only that, but Peter Blake turned it into art!

Colour is central to the Green & Black’s brand, communicating the individual flavours and creating a strong blocking effect. The name ‘Green’ reflects the ethically sourced cocoa, and ‘Black’s’, the intense flavour of the chocolate.
The gold logotype denotes the brand’s premium status.

To this day colour is one of the most important elements of my branding work. With every brand I ask myself: ‘How can I make it stand out from the crowd?’.

…to running my own show

Since 2016 I’ve run my own branding business, making my big agency experience available to you directly, cutting out the layers of staff and slow turnaround times. Your overall experience will be nimble and fun.

My work on both iconic and challenger brands has not only won me a plethora
of global creative awards, but it has also given me invaluable skills that most designers don’t offer: I’m a strategic, innovative, and creative thinker, and this
is how I approach every design project.

I’ve gone on to work with some amazing brands such as Havana Club, Chivas Regal, Wagamama, Mamago (Wagamama’s cool cousin!), Watergate Bay Hotel’s Extreme Academy, The Wund Group and Ember Snacks.

And I don’t just do the big picture thinking – I also have an 'eagle' eye for detail and a passion for the crafting of a great idea to create uniquely beautiful design.
